What is the design process?

Part of my job as Floral Designer is getting to know you. We'll explore designs and help you dial in the perfect style. You may already know that you prefer free-flowing, loose blooms that drape wildly around your wrist. Or you might prefer a more pristine bouquet where every petal is in its place.

After you've contacted me by email or phone, there is a discussion about your plans and expectations. Then I'll work to put together an initial proposal. Once a 50% deposit is made and the date is on my calendar, an in-person consultation and paid centerpiece mock-up (if local) takes place with me to go over details and dial-in the design. Please note that I'm an exclusive floral designer, however, I love working with planners.

What should i expect to spend on flowers?

Whiles costs are highly variable, typically the floral budget is between 10-20% of the total cost of your wedding. The guest count of your wedding directly affects the overall budget.

What is your design style?

While I naturally gravitate heavily toward wild and romantic art-inspired designs, my portfolio is a very diverse body of work. I've designed garden style bouquets overflowing with garden roses for a dozen bridesmaids. I've worked with brides who've been married in modern museums and preferred very minimal, modern florals in abstract vases.

Where are you located?

My studio is based in Hendersonville, TN. I'm not limited to events in Tennessee. I work and travel all over. The 30A area of Florida is also home.

How far out should i book?

My services are booked as early as two years in advance and as close as 6-12 months from your wedding date. For this reason, and because I only book a small number of bespoke weddings each year, the sooner you book, the better. The floral designer should be one of the first (if not the first) vendors you choose after deciding on a venue.

Do i need to have a planner?

Yes, I prefer to work with clients who budget for a full-service wedding planner. A planner/designer is key to pulling all the details together and ensuring a beautiful, stress-free process and wedding day for the bride and groom and their families.

Can you recommend photographers and other talent?

Yes. I work with some of the best. I'm happy to share my list of preferred vendors with you and/or make introductions. Along with florals and venue, the planner and photographer make up the "big four" critical resources for your wedding. I will also share our recommendations for Hair & Makeup and other vendors.

How many weddings do you book yearly?

Each year is different. I consider the complexity of each project I've accepted and the time investment needed for each before booking another client. My design projects require that I be fully invested. I prefer to find the right fit — for me and for you. I do not accept every job that comes my way. I will help you find the right designer, though, if I'm not a fit for one reason or another.

How many people are on your team?

I design alone, however, I do have a team of floral assistants who help me bring all of your details together and handle the logistics of your big day. Flowers are delicate, yet the work is hard. It requires a team to be fresh and at my creative best when preparing for your wedding.

What are the payment details?

We accept all credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, cash, check and we offer financing through Promise Financial. We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to hold your date. We provide a discount of up to 10% for weddings paid in full up front as long as your event date is greater than 120 days from the date of booking.
